Hourly Rate:  $20.13 - $26.49 DOE; Job Classification L, PLUS, employer-paid retirement, and generous benefits package 

Days:  Mon – Fri

Hours: 35 hours per week

Overview:  The purpose of the “On Track Coordinator” is to case manage and support students at Parkrose High School. They will assist students with academic success by monitoring student data, building positive relationships with students and families, and supporting academics.  

 

Job Requirements:

• Must have a high school diploma
• An associate's (or higher) degree - OR - Two years of post-secondary study in an academic program (72 quarter-hour credits)
• Training: The School District will provide training with the high school instructional coaches, administration and other support staff
• Multicultural competency - the ability to interact with persons of different age groups and cultural backgrounds.

 

Skills, Knowledge and/or Abilities Required:

• Knowledge of math is necessary in order to assist students
• Able to read and maintain data sheets for students on caseload.
• Abilities to understand and address students with special needs, understand and carry out oral and written instructions and maintain confidentiality of students.
• Significant physical abilities include stooping/crouching, reaching/handling, talking/hearing conversations, near/far visual acuity/depth perception/accommodation/field of vision.

 

 Preferred:

• Bilingual

 

License, Certifications, Bonding, and/or Testing Required:

• Criminal Justice Fingerprint Clearance (cost to the employee: $12.50 for fingerprints at the time of registration; $66.00 for criminal background check will be paid through the School District)

Position Details:

• Providing interventions to students in the area of mathematics
• Tracking student’s progress in need of individual support plans.
• Communicating home when needed on students regarding academic support school to home.
• Working with teachers of students on caseload to provide necessary supports in areas needed to be successful.

 

Other Job Functions:

• Assists other personnel as may be required for the purpose of supporting them in the completion of their work activities.
